More than just "any old" ski area in South Tyrol

Put on your skis and off you go!

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski region is an extremely family-friendly ski area in South Tyrol. Here you can find ski holidays with guaranteed enjoyment: not many crowds, nothing is far away, great slopes for children, beginners and advanced. And the best thing is: the ski area starts right from our doorstep. The lift entrance is just 80 metres away.

The three nursery slope lifts in the village are ideal for beginners and another three, including a modern 8-person gondola, transport skiers up to the Jochtal mountain. Modern snow machines up there guarantee snow down to the valley over 22 kilometres of slopes. A state-of-the-art cable car link has been connecting the Jochtal and Gitschberg ski areas since 2011, making one single ski region with 51 kilometres of slopes.

NEW since 2014: The Schwandt skiing slope for beginners and experts connects Maranza/Meransen (Gitschberg ski area) with Valles/Vals (Jochtal ski area). Additionally, at the Jochtal mountain station there is a new mountain inn with a beautiful panorama.
